What is The Fables Co.?
It is an online community space across various socials (primarily Discord) that brings together authors and readers from all walks of life. They are big on supporting Indie Authors and offering services at an affordable rate and high quality. The company is broken down into several sections (because they are super organised like that). But in a nutshell, it is a super supporting community that hypes up indie authors and connects them to their audience. You can join as an author, a reader or both... and they have so many fun things going on all year round! Read on to find out more.

THE HOUSES
There are five houses available to join within the Fables community. If you plan to be on the discord server (which you're going to want to be, as that's where all the festivals and games are held - aka all the fun stuff), it is mandatory for you to join a house. It's fun, friendly competition and keeps everybody actively participating in the community. Join the house you feel best suits your personality and be part of the chaos.
House Mythrae
Led by Serena and home of the Dragons. Join this house if you think the traits: Imagination, Creativity, Ambition and Vision best describe you. Drawn to big dreams and making impossible ideas a reality, you'll fit in well here if you thrive in the realms of possibility. If you love encouraging others to go big or go home, you'll fit right in!
House Obsidra
Led by Anna and home of the Manticores. If you think the traits of: Resilience, Passion, Intensity and Devotion best describe you then you would do well in Obsidra. Built on the tenets of loyalty, fearlessness, honesty and stepping up to every challenge. If organising chaos is an easy pastime for you, then you'll feel right at home. If you identify with any of that, you will fit right in here!
House Starvyn
Led by Meghan and home of the Phoenix. If you think the traits of: Discovery, Curiosity, Originality and Creative Chaos personifies you, then you'd do very well in Starvyn. This house pride themselves on inventive eccentricity, adventurous fearlessness and playful energy. They are the ones with bubbles in their purse and a snack to boot. Don't doubt their shadows though, they will rise from the ashes and pull you from the embers too. If that sounds like you, join Starvyn!
House Lunwraith
Led by Skyee and home of the Wolves. This pack stands for: Loyalty, Protection, Instinct and the Strength of the whole rather than the individual. They are fiercely supportive and dependable and very in touch with their emotions and instincts. They value connection and trust above all, and the quiet loyalty of one you just feel will always be there. If that sounds like you, then join Lunwraith!
House Evergloom
Led by Elizabeth and home of the Foxes. If the traits: Patience, Strategy, Mystery and Quiet Power describe you well, then you may fit in best with the Foxes. They are the type to leave a quiet impression and have their absence noticed most. They most value timing, depth, perception and moving with purpose. They are quick, witty and will usually be ahead of the curve, leaving everyone scratching their heads a mile behind. If you identify with all that, then Evergloom is the house for you!

AKA the Creative Studio
This is the first of those "business sections" I was talking about earlier. This one covers all the creative and artsy stuff that goes into making the actual book itself. Whether you have a fully developed manuscript or a vague idea floating around in your head, Fables have the means to bring your brain baby to a fully fledged masterpiece.

This section has a little developing to go, but currently available is the incredible musical talents of our very own Seraphine Black. She custom makes all kinds of music and bookish ballads. She is incredibly talented and can turn your book into a full soundtrack.

THE FESTIVALS
AKA Quarterly Chaos
The quarterly festivals are run through the Discord server and ually go for 3-4 days. Many authors sign up to promote their works and the readers go for all the fun games and giveaways and add endless books to their (likely already endless) TBR's. There are so many talented and incredible indie authors that join in on the fun!
From October 2026, they have upped the anty with their organisation. There was always a different theme for each festival, now there are specific target audiences too.
January Fest

(Adult Fiction)
Romance, Dark Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Thrillers, pretty much anything written for adult readers only. (AKA SMUTTY FEST)
April Fest
Fables & Tales
(Family Festival)
Children's books, middle grade, young adult, and wholesome adventures ~ designed to inspire the next generation of readers.
July Fest
Fables & Fantasy
(Fantasy Festival)
Romatasy, Epic Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Folklore etc.
October Fest
Fables & Fright
(Halloween Festival)
Psychological Thrillers, Gothic Horror, Supernatural Mysteries, etc. Open to all genres, but targeting anything dark and spooky.
